PM in Banshkhali to hand over house keys to flood-affected families

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has reached in Banshkhali, Chattogram, after concluding his programme in Matarbari of Maheshkhali, Cox’s Bazar.

The Bangladesh Air Force helicopter, carrying the Prime Minister, landed at a helipad near the sea beach in Baharchhara Union of Banshkhali shortly before 2PM on Sunday.

Tarique Rahman is visiting the area to hand over keys to new homes to families who lost their houses in the recent devastating floods.

Earlier in the morning, the prime minister inspected the Matarbari deep-sea port, the coal-fired power plant and the activities of the Maheshkhali Integrated Development Authority (MIDA) in Maheshkhali. After completing his Matarbari programme, he arrived in Banshkhali in the afternoon.
