Four-day yarn, fabrics and accessories exhibition begins in Dhaka

A four-day international exhibition showcasing yarn, fabrics and garment accessories began in the capital on Thursday, bringing together more than 150 companies from different countries.
Titled the 13th Bangladesh Yarn, Fabrics and Accessories Show 2026, the exhibition is being held at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) and will continue until August 16.
Organised by ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt Ltd, the event is being held alongside the Bangladesh TexChem Expo.
The exhibition features a wide range of products and technologies for Bangladesh’s apparel and textile industries, including yarn for woven and knitwear, blended yarn, wool and suit fabrics, printed fabrics, sportswear and home textiles.
A variety of garment accessories and technologies related to embroidery, hot stamping and textile processing are also being showcased. A special pavilion of India’s Chemexcil is also participating in the event.
The exhibition provides local garment manufacturers, exporters, buying houses and fabric processors with an opportunity to meet international suppliers directly and explore new sources of yarn, fabrics, accessories, textile chemicals and processing technologies.
Organisers said access to advanced technologies, innovative fabrics and diversified sourcing options is increasingly important for improving the competitiveness and product quality of Bangladesh’s apparel sector.
Tipu Sultan Bhuiyan, Managing Director of ASK Trade & Exhibitions, said the exhibition aims to bring international suppliers closer to Bangladeshi exporters and manufacturers.
He said new technologies and innovative fabrics are crucial for ensuring further growth and improving the quality of products in the apparel sector.
