Actress Pooja Banerjee welcomes baby girl

Tollywood actress Pooja Banerjee has welcomed her second child, a baby girl. The actress became a mother for the second time on Friday (August 14).

Pooja herself shared the news with her fans on social media. Shortly after the birth, she posted a video featuring glimpses of her pregnancy journey as well as tender moments with her newborn daughter. “First glimpse of my daughter,” Pooja wrote in the caption.

Following the announcement, Pooja has been showered with congratulatory messages from industry colleagues, relatives and fans, who have wished the actress and her newborn well.

Pooja has also revealed plans for naming her daughter. She said the naming ceremony will be held 40 days after the birth, in accordance with Punjabi traditions.

Earlier, on Mother’s Day on May 10, Pooja’s baby shower ceremony was held. Photos from the event showed the actress with a doll in her arms, giving fans a glimpse of the family’s excitement over the arrival of their new member.

Pooja had announced her second pregnancy in a unique way on April 21. In a video posted on her YouTube channel, she appeared holding a pregnancy test kit. Pooja and her actor husband Kunal Verma expressed their excitement about beginning another new chapter as parents.

Pooja and Kunal tied the knot in an intimate ceremony attended by close family and friends in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic. The couple welcomed their first child, son Krishiv, later that year.
