The decision was taken at a meeting of the BAJUS Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring. A notice signed by committee chairman Dr Dewan Aminul Islam Shaheen confirmed the price adjustment.
The latest increase comes just five days after BAJUS raised the price of 22-carat gold jewellery by Tk 2,158 on August 15.
