Newly elected President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will pay homage at the graves of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) founder, late President Ziaur Rahman, and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.

Shairul Kabir Khan, member of the BNP media cell, confirmed the matter, stating that the President-elect will offer his respects after Jummah prayers on Friday.

He said the newly elected President will offer Surah fatiha and offer prayers at the graves of martyr President Ziaur Rahman Bir Uttam and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia before taking his oath of office at Bangabhaban.
