Bangladesh's democratic progress has been repeatedly disrupted, while the BNP has made persistent efforts through movements and struggles to restore the country to the path of democracy, newly appointed Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives Minister Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan said on Saturday.
He made the remarks while talking to reporters after paying tribute to the martyrs of the Liberation War at the National Memorial in Savar.
Moyeen Khan said that after 17 years, Tarique Rahman, elected by millions of voters, has dedicated himself to taking Bangladesh forward on the path of democracy and development and establishing people's rights.
