Pakistan ambassador invites Bangladeshi content creator after Moscow music vlog

Pakistan’s ambassador to Russia has invited Bangladeshi student and content creator Anisur Rahman, also known as Sibly, to Pakistan House after watching his vlog covering a Pakistani music band’s performance in Moscow.

Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s ambassador, invited Sibly after seeing his coverage of Khurmariyaan, a Pakistani hyper-olk band that recently performed in Moscow for the first time.

Sibly, who was living in Russia at the time, documented the concert in a vlog, capturing not only the band’s performance but also the audience’s reactions and moments from around the event.

The Embassy of Pakistan in Russia shared a Facebook post on Tuesday highlighting Sibly’s visit. The post was later reposted by the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka on Wednesday.

According to the embassy, Tirmizi praised Sibly’s work and said he appreciated how the vlog captured the atmosphere of the concert beyond the stage performance. The ambassador also expressed interest in hearing about Sibly’s experience while filming the event.

Anisur Rahman has been pursuing a Master’s degree in Design (Art Direction) at HSE University and has been living in Russia for nearly two years.

The embassy’s post concluded by highlighting the cultural connection created through Sibly’s work: “A young man from Bangladesh, capturing Pakistani music and culture, right here in Russia metimes the best connections happen quite naturally.”
