One of the most popular and versatile actresses in Bangladesh’s television industry, Rozi Siddiqui has won the hearts of audiences through her powerful performances and memorable character portrayals. Over the years, she has brought a wide range of characters to life, adding depth and emotion to every role she plays.

Beyond entertainment, her work often reflects different aspects of society and Bengali culture. Her dedication to acting, theatre and a disciplined lifestyle continues to inspire many. Rozi Siddiqui talks about her daily routine, fitness, self-care, travel, fashion and the little things that bring her happiness.

DO: How does your day usually begin?
Rozi: I usually wake up in the morning and do a little yoga. Then I have black tea with ginger and eat a boiled egg. After some time, I have my proper breakfast. I also have breakfast with the other members of my family.

DO: What does your regular daily routine look like when you are not shooting?
Rozi: When I don't have shooting, my routine becomes very different. There is actually a lot more work at home. During shooting days, I cannot always give as much time to my home as I would like. So, when I get a break from shooting, I try to complete the pending household work.
I like my house and household things to be neat and clean.
I have become so accustomed to staying busy that if I have no work, sometimes I don't even understand what to do!
My routine is otherwise quite normal. I cook for myself and my family because I don’t really feel like eating if I don’t cook. I also take care of everyone’s meals and manage the household. Taking care of a family is a responsibility, and I always try to fulfil it properly.

DO: How do you maintain a balance between your professional and personal life?
Rozi: For me, taking care of my family and maintaining my home is also a responsibility. Whenever I get time away from shooting, I try to give that time to my home and family.
I believe every household has its own responsibilities, and I try to fulfil mine. I manage my work, my home and my personal life as best as I can.

DO: How do you relax after a busy day?
Rozi: In the afternoon or evening, I usually go out for a walk. Walking has become a regular part of my routine. I walk for about an hour, and I really enjoy it.
I also watch television, read my favourite books and listen to music. But walking gives me the greatest peace.
For me, walking is a huge form of meditation. It is one of the biggest sources of comfort in my life.

DO: How important are fitness and self-care in your everyday life?
Rozi: I exercise regularly. Earlier, I used to exercise for an hour or even an hour and a half, but now I cannot always manage that much time.
Because of the extreme heat and changing weather, I have changed my routine. Earlier, I had almost everything at home to exercise as if I had a gym there. Those facilities are still there, but now I prefer walking outdoors.
There are some beautiful places to walk around Bashundhara, so a few of us go walking together. But it is not just walking and chatting. We walk properly, like an exercise session. Sometimes I walk three or four miles.
Walking gives me tremendous peace. If I ask myself where I get my energy from, I would say I get much of it from exercising.
Another very important part of my life is theatre. Theatre keeps me extremely energetic. I believe theatre is a great help in keeping my life beautiful, positive and fit.

DO: Do you follow any particular beauty or skincare routine?
Rozi: No, I don't really follow anyone else's routine in the beauty or lifestyle space. I believe people follow me instead. I feel very happy about that.
I am comfortable with keeping myself presentable. I don't feel that I need to copy someone else's style or routine. I prefer to remain comfortable with myself.

DO: Who or what inspires your fashion and lifestyle choices?
Rozi: I don't follow anyone else in the lifestyle or styling world. I believe being comfortable and confident in your own personality is very important.
For me, looking presentable does not necessarily mean following every trend. I prefer something that feels natural and comfortable to me.

DO: What is your favourite travel destination and why?
Rozi: My favourite place is India. I love travelling to India. My second favourite destination is America.
I enjoy travelling, and India has a special place in my heart.

DO: What gives you the greatest happiness and sense of achievement in your long acting career?
Rozi: People still remember my characters, and that gives me immense happiness.

There was a time when people even forgot my father's name and started calling me “Bijli”. Even today, I still hear this name.

Whenever I go somewhere and someone asks me to say one of my own dialogues, I feel extremely happy. It makes me realise that people still remember my work and the characters I portrayed.

That is my happiness. This is my achievement, and this is my biggest reward.
