Bashundhara Kings cleared of all FIFA bans

 
Bangladesh Football League champions Bashundhara Kings have finally been cleared of all FIFA-imposed registration bans, removing the last obstacle to their club licensing and participation in the upcoming domestic season.

The final four of the 14 bans imposed on the six-time league champions were lifted on Friday night after the club resolved outstanding payment issues involving former foreign coaches and players.

Until Friday evening, four bans remained active against Bashundhara Kings, prompting the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) to extend the club licensing deadline by four days to give the reigning champions additional time to complete the necessary formalities.

However, the club's name was removed from FIFA's official registration-ban list later in the night, confirming that all restrictions on registering players had been lifted. 

Bashundhara Kings had previously cleared the outstanding dues of the concerned parties and submitted the required documents as part of the process to have the sanctions withdrawn. The final administrative procedures were completed on Friday.

With all 14 FIFA bans now lifted, the six-time champions are free to complete their club licensing and player registration ahead of the new domestic season.

The development comes as a major relief for Bashundhara Kings, who had faced uncertainty over their participation despite being the defending Bangladesh Football League champions.
