Fire at Basabo warehouse brought under control

A fire broke out at a tin-shed cotton godown in the Basabo area of Khilgaon in the capital on Sunday afternoon.

Two firefighting units brought the blaze under control after prompt intervention. Fire Service Media Officer Anwarul Islam confirmed the incident on media.

He said the fire started at a garment waste cotton warehouse in Basabo. "We received information about the fire at 11:58 AM," he added.

Two units from the Khilgaon Fire Station reached the spot at 12:04 PM and started dousing the flames. The firefighters brought the blaze under control at 12:28 PM.

No casualties were reported in the incident.
