The government has reshuffled three key positions at Bangladesh Railway, including the additional director general (development), additional director general (infrastructure) and general manager of the Chattogram Eastern Zone.
The Railway Ministry's Administration Wing issued a notification in this regard on Thursday, signed by Deputy Secretary Kamrul Hasan.
According to the notification, Md Subaktagin, currently serving as general manager (in-charge) of the Chattogram Eastern Zone, has been appointed additional director general (infrastructure) (in-charge) at Railway Bhaban in Dhaka.
Mamunul Islam, who has been serving as additional director general (development) (in-charge), has been made general manager (in-charge) of the Chattogram Eastern Zone.
Meanwhile, Al Fattah Md Masudur Rahman, currently serving as additional director general (infrastructure) (in-charge), has been appointed additional director general (development) (in-charge).
In addition to his new assignment, Masudur Rahman will continue to serve as project director of the Jamuna Bridge Rail Link Project as an additional responsibility.
The order, issued in the public interest, will take effect immediately, the notification said.
