Bodies of couple, newborn found at Ashulia house

Police have recovered the decomposed bodies of a couple and their newborn baby from a locked room in Savar's Ashulia.

Police initially suspect that the three of them were murdered. 

The bodies were recovered from a locked room of a four-story building which is ownedby Haji Hazrat Ali in the Madhya Jamgora area of Ashulia, said Mohammed Tariqul Islam, officer in-charge of Ashulia Police Station.

According to the neighbors, the family had recently rented the room but the doors and the windows remained closed most of the time. On Friday night, they noticed a foul smell coming from their home and then they immediately informed the matter to police.

Police later broke open the lock and recovered the bodies. 

An investigation is underway, said the OC.
