Heroic rescue: Store worker dives into traffic to save child

A quick-thinking supermarket employee saved a toddler from being struck by oncoming vehicles on September 6 in Puebla, Mexico.

Dramatic CCTV footage captured the moment a three-year-old girl ran away from guardians and headed straight into a busy road. The employee was operating a forklift outside the Super Rey del Ahorro store when he spotted the imminent danger.

Dropping his work immediately, he sprinted into traffic and dived onto the pavement, pulling the child away just inches before speeding cars passed.

Bystanders looked on in shock as the worker scooped up the toddler and safely returned her to her panicked family. Eyewitnesses reported that the rescue succeeded by a fraction of a second.

The footage has gone viral globally, garnering millions of views within hours. Local residents are urging authorities and the store management to grant a formal reward for the worker's split-second courage.
