Three more patients died with measles symptoms in the last 24 hours across Bangladesh, bringing the total death toll from confirmed and suspected measles to 997 this year.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the figures in its regular health bulletin on Monday (September 7). Two deaths were recorded in Dhaka division between Sunday 8:00 AM and Monday 8:00 AM, while 1,216 new patients were admitted to various hospitals nationwide with measles symptoms.
Divisional breakdown of new hospital admissions in the last 24 hours shows Dhaka division leading with 468 patients, followed by Chittagong with 249, Sylhet with 155, Barishal with 135, Mymensingh with 86, Khulna with 79, Rajshahi with 30, and Rangpur with 14 patients.
