Rajbari admin pledges support to boost BSCIC production

RAJBARI, Sept 8:  The district administration has assured industrial entrepreneurs at the Rajbari BSCIC Industrial Estate of all-out support in resolving their problems and increasing production.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Tarif Ul Hasan gave the assurance at a discussion with industrial entrepreneurs at the BSCIC Industrial Estate on Monday afternoon.

The meeting was organised by the BSCIC Industrial Estate Owners’ Association, with its President Kazi Benazir Ahmed in the chair.

Assistant General Manager of BSCIC Chayan Biswas, Estate Officer Hafizur Rahman, Association General Secretary and Orbit Shilpa Sangstha owner Maksudur Rahman, and other industrial entrepreneurs attended the meeting.

The entrepreneurs raised various problems facing the industrial estate, including the construction of a boundary wall, strengthening security, improving drainage, reducing loan interest rates and service charges, and removing other obstacles to industrial operations.

Freedom Fighter Khalilur Rahman said entrepreneurs had got an opportunity to directly discuss their problems with the administration after a long time.

He called for construction of a boundary wall to improve security, better drainage facilities and loans on easy terms for industrial entrepreneurs.

Entrepreneur Mehera Nigar Parvin said entrepreneurs had faced various difficulties in running production activities due to existing obstacles.

“Such barriers need to be removed to create opportunities for entrepreneurs to increase production and help the industrial sector grow,” she said.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Tarif Ul Hasan said the district administration was always ready to help resolve the entrepreneurs’ problems.

“If necessary, we will raise the issues with the higher authorities. The administration will work sincerely to ensure that industrial production faces no unnecessary obstacles,” he said.

He urged entrepreneurs to inform the administration of their problems, saying its doors would always remain open to them.

Kazi Benazir Ahmed said entrepreneurs had got an opportunity to come together and place their problems before the administration after a long time.

“Closer coordination between the government and industrial entrepreneurs will help the country’s industrial sector move forward,” he said.

He also stressed increasing domestic industrial production to reduce dependence on imports.

BSCIC Assistant General Manager Chayan Biswas said all concerned parties needed to work together to resolve the existing problems at the industrial estate.

“Through joint efforts, the environment and production system of the industrial estate can be improved further,” he said.

The meeting also discussed issues related to infrastructure, security and financial assistance, with entrepreneurs calling for prompt and effective measures.
