The publication date for the 2026 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations has been officially rescheduled.
Originally slated for October 29, the results will now be published on October 31 due to unavoidable circumstances.
According to Ministry of Education sources, the formal press conference announcing the results will take place on Thursday morning at the International Mother Language Institute in Segunbagicha, Dhaka.
Uncertainty regarding the timeline surfaced earlier when a detailed notification regarding result-checking methods—scheduled for release on October 26—was withheld. Sources indicated that the delay occurred because final clearance and approval from Prime Minister Tarique Rahman had not yet been finalized in time for the original October 29 window.
Professor Syed Akhteruzzaman, President of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, stated that while information points toward October 31 for the release, education boards are awaiting the formal ministerial directive and circular to detail the exact time, process, and online/SMS result collection guidelines for students.
This year's exams—encompassing 12,70,583 examinees across 9,439 educational institutions under 11 general, technical, and madrasah education boards—commenced on July 2. While written tests largely concluded in August, delayed papers for the Chittagong Education Board due to localized flooding wrapped up on September 9.
