Across a legendary career spanning nearly six decades, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has achieved global acclaim, yet the 84-year-old actor recently revealed a lingering personal regret: never learning to play a musical instrument.

The veteran actor shared the reflection during an interaction with a contestant named Kritagya on the 18th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). Asked whether he would prefer to relive a past day or experience a completely new milestone, Bachchan chose the latter, expressing a desire to experience the day he finally masters an instrument.

"I had a deep desire to learn music, but it never happened," Bachchan admitted. "When I listen to singers, musicians, and sitar players perform so brilliantly, I feel sad and ask myself why I didn't learn. I have collected almost every kind of musical instrument at home, which I keep decorated with flowers and garlands, hoping that one day I will learn to play them."

Despite his lack of instrumental training, Bachchan has enjoyed a successful secondary stint as a playback singer throughout his career. He made his singing debut in 1979 with "Mere Pass Aao Mere Dosto" in Mr. Natwarlal, followed by classic tracks like "Rang Barse" and "Neela Aasman" in Silsila.

He later returned to the recording studio in the 2000s, collaborating with Adnan Sami on "Kabhi Nahi" and lending his vocals to hit tracks in films including Baghban, Bol Bachchan, Kahaani, Wazir, Shamitabh, and 102 Not Out.

Bachchan is currently hosting the 18th season of the popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati.
