Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju-starrer Bethlehem Kudumba Unit is rapidly closing in on Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra to become the highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time.
Directed by Gireesh A D, the family-oriented romantic comedy has already emerged as a major box-office success, surpassing Vaazha 2 to become the highest-grossing Malayalam film in Kerala.
The film reportedly earned around Rs 288.45 crore worldwide within 21 days of release, putting it just over Rs 11 crore behind Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, which has a reported lifetime collection of around Rs 300 crore.
Released on August 21, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit has maintained a strong theatrical run, backed by positive audience response and impressive overseas earnings.
