Couple, 5 children among 9 killed in Saudi Arabia road crash

Nine people, including seven members of the same family, were killed in a horrific road accident in Al-Ahsa in Saudi Arabia.
The deceased family members included a husband and wife and their five children-three boys and two girls. Two young men travelling in another vehicle were also killed in the crash, according to The News International.
The Traffic Department of Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province said the collision occurred after one of the vehicles suddenly changed direction.
The accident took place on the Al-Ahsa-Al-Uqair-Al-Uyun Road, one of the key routes in the Al-Ahsa area connecting the region with coastal parts of the Eastern Province.
Emergency rescue teams, including firefighters and members of the Saudi Red Crescent, rushed to the scene following the crash. They worked to rescue people who were trapped inside the vehicles.
