Messi unveils special farewell jersey ahead of final match

Lionel Messi revealed a custom Adidas jersey on his Instagram account to mark his final international appearance for Argentina.

The 39-year-old superstar posted the first image of the kit, which he will wear during his official farewell match next month.

Messi captioned the image with a brief message: "One last match. A jersey for a lifetime."

The customized jersey retains Argentina's traditional sky blue and white stripes while incorporating unique design touches by Adidas. His name and iconic number 10 are printed in gold on the back, positioned below the Sun of May emblem alongside a distinct background graphic.

The tribute follows Adidas's earlier "El Último Tango" collection released ahead of Messi's final World Cup campaign.

Argentina will face Benin in an international friendly at the Estadio Monumental in Buenos Aires on October 6, organized specifically as Messi's national team farewell.

Messi has scored 125 goals in 207 appearances for Argentina. He will sit out Argentina's upcoming friendlies against Bolivia and Burkina Faso, making the Benin fixture his 208th and final international appearance.
