22 senior police officers reshuffled in major nationwide transfer

The government has transferred 22 police officers, including four new district police superintendents (SPs), in a major reshuffle across different police units.

Four officers have been posted as new SPs in Netrokona, Brahmanbaria, Rajbari and Meherpur, while 18 other officers of SP rank and above have been transferred to various police units.

The Ministry of Home Affairs confirmed the decision in two separate notifications on Tuesday. The notifications were signed by Deputy Secretary Towsif Ahmed.

According to the notifications, Mohammad Enamul Haque, additional police commissioner (supernumerary) of Sylhet, has been transferred as additional deputy inspector general (DIG) of the Armed Police Battalion (APBN) and Specialised Training Centre in Khagrachhari.

Paritosh Ghosh, DIG of the APBN and Specialised Training Centre in Khagrachhari, has been transferred as DIG of the APBN office for the hill districts.

Habibur Rahman Khan, DIG of the Highway Police in Dhaka, has been transferred as commandant (DIG) of the Transport and Driving School (TDS) in Dhaka.

Mohammad Anisur Rahman, additional DIG at the Special Branch (SB) in Dhaka, has been transferred as additional DIG at the office of the DIG of Khulna Range.

Additional DIG Md Gias Uddin Ahmad, an officer on special duty (OSD) at the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been attached to the office of the DIG of Rangpur Range as additional DIG.

Meanwhile, SP Mohammad Jasim Uddin, also an OSD at the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been attached to the office of the DIG of Rajshahi Range as SP.
