Bangladesh Bank (BB) Governor Md Mostaqur Rahman on Tuesday urged India to increase imports of Bangladeshi products to help improve the bilateral trade balance.
The BB chief made the call while meeting with Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi at BB headquarters in the city, said a press release.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on further strengthening Bangladesh-India bilateral economic, commercial and financial relations.
The governor also expressed interest in expanding the use of Bangla QR, promoting cross-border digital payments and exploring India's experience and possible technical cooperation in this area.
