DIGs among 31 police posts reshuffled

The government has reshuffled 31 police positions, including deputy inspectors general (DIG), additional DIGs and superintendent of police (SP) posts.

The Ministry of Home Affairs announced the reshuffle in three separate notifications on Tuesday.

Habibur Rahman Khan, DIG of the Highway Police, has been promoted and appointed commandant of the Traffic and Driving School as a supernumerary officer. Sylhet Metropolitan Police DIG Mohammad Enamul Haque, who was promoted as a supernumerary officer, has been transferred to the Special Training Centre of APBn in Khagrachhari, while Paritosh Ghosh, who was serving in that post, has been transferred to the DIG APBn (Hill Districts) office.

Additional DIG Anisur Rahman of the Special Branch has been transferred to the Khulna Range. Additional DIG Gias Uddin Ahmad, who had been serving as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD), has been attached to the Rangpur Range.

The list of transfers and attachments also includes additional DIGs, superintendents of police and additional superintendents of police who were promoted as supernumerary officers.�"bdnews24
