BAB delegation meets president at Bangabhaban

A delegation of the Bangladesh Association of Banks (BAB), led by its Chairman Abdul Hai Sarker, paid a courtesy call on President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at Bangabhaban in Dhaka on Thursday.

The delegation included BAB Vice Chairmen Romo Rouf Chowdhury, Rashed Ahmed Chowdhury and Sharif Zahir, along with chairmen of several private commercial banks.

During the meeting, the delegation briefed the President on the current state of the country’s banking sector, its key challenges and measures needed to address them.

The BAB delegation reaffirmed the commitment of its member banks to strengthening stability, good governance and public confidence in the banking system.

They also expressed their commitment to supporting the country’s economic growth.

The meeting concluded in a cordial and constructive atmosphere.
