BAB delegation meets President to discuss banking sector challenges

A delegation of the Bangladesh Association of Banks (BAB), led by its Chairman, Abdul Hai Sarker, accompanied by Vice Chairmen Romo Rouf Chowdhury, Rashed Ahmed Chowdhury and Sharif Zahir, together with Chairmen of various private commercial banks, paid a courtesy call on the President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, at Bangabhaban, Dhaka, on Thursday, says a press release. 

During the meeting, the BAB delegation briefed the President on the current state of the country's banking sector, the key challenges it is facing, and the measures needed to address them.
 
The delegation reaffirmed the commitment of member banks to strengthening stability, good governance and public confidence in the banking system, and to supporting the country's economic growth.
