Zaima Rahman has joined the office of the President of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Khalilur Rahman, as a Legal Officer, according to the UN’s official website.

On Thursday (September 24), the UN listed Zaima Rahman as a Legal Officer from Bangladesh on the official team of the Office of the President of the General Assembly.

According to the UN profile, Zaima is a barrister and legal and policy professional with experience in the United Kingdom and Bangladesh.

Khalilur Rahman was elected president of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly on June 2, 2026. The session opened on September 8.

The Office of the President has 40 personnel, with several Bangladeshis serving in different positions, according to reports.
