Bangladesh Project Management Symposium and Awards 2026 held

Speakers at a symposium emphasised the need to build a standardized project management framework to accelerate national infrastructure development, strengthen public governance, and drive sustainable economic growth. This was highlighted at the ‘Bangladesh Project Management Symposium and Awards 2026’, organized by the Project Management Institute (PMI) Bangladesh Chapter.

The national conference for project professionals was held at the Grand Ballroom of Radisson Blu Water Garden in the capital on Saturday. High-ranking government officials, corporate executives, industry leaders, and project management professionals attended the event.

State Minister for Planning Zonayed Abdur Rahim Saki inaugurated the event as the chief guest.

The ceremony began with a networking session and the rendition of the national anthem. Delivering the welcome address, ATM Iqbal Chowdhury, President of the PMI Bangladesh Chapter, highlighted the ‘M.O.R.E.’ strategic framework and stated that the chapter is working relentlessly to ensure international-standard project execution in Bangladesh.

The opening phase of the conference featured the presentation of the ‘Glorious Project Awards’ and special recognition for senior members for their long-standing contributions to the chapter. An executive panel discussion was also held alongside the awards.

In the final phase of the grand event, crests were presented to the winning projects and professionals of the ‘Bangladesh Project Management Awards 2026’. Evaluation jury members, event sponsors, and organizing volunteers were also given special recognition.

The event officially concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Programme Lead ABM Taj-Ul Islam.

It is worth noting that the PMI Bangladesh Chapter is the premier national professional association for project, program, and portfolio management practitioners in the country. Led by an elected Board of Directors, the organization works nationwide to uphold global standards and foster administrative efficiency.
