Chinese Ambassador bids farewell to PM

Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the Prime Minister’s Office in the Secretariat on Monday.

At the outset of the meeting, Yao Wen congratulated the prime minister on his participation in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly and the successful completion of his engagements in New York.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the need to further expand trade, investment and development cooperation between Bangladesh and China. He also highlighted issues of mutual interest, including the Rohingya crisis.

Yao Wen reaffirmed China’s continued support for Bangladesh’s development efforts and expressed hope that bilateral relations would grow stronger in the days ahead.
