Visa services across Bangladeshi diplomatic missions abroad have been temporarily disrupted following a technical breakdown of the Machine Readable Visa (MRV) central server in Dhaka.

The Bangladesh embassies in Bangkok and Lisbon issued separate emergency notices on Monday (September 28) night, informing applicants of the service interruption.

In its statement, the Embassy of Bangladesh in Bangkok noted that applicants might face difficulties submitting visa applications or accessing visa-related services due to the technical fault.

The embassy advised travelers to refrain from making urgent travel plans dependent on immediate visa processing until the central system is fully restored.

Similarly, the Embassy in Lisbon stated that visa and "No Visa Required" (NVR) services remain suspended due to the central server crash in Dhaka.

Both missions confirmed that technical teams are actively working to restore the system and expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience caused to applicants.
