Walton Plaza, MUN Alert launch missing persons initiative

The photo shows that officials of the organizations concerned are exchanging documents of the MoU signed between Walton Plaza and MUN Alert to facilitate the dissemination of information on missing persons.
Walton Plaza, the country’s largest electronics sales and service network, has partnered with missing-person alert platform MUN Alert to launch the ‘Missing Persons Broadcast’ initiative.
Under the initiative, photos and key information of verified missing persons will be displayed on TV screens at more than 700 Walton Plaza outlets nationwide to help locate them.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Walton Plaza and MUN Alert at Walton Corporate Office in Dhaka on Monday (September 28).
Pictures and information about missing people will be broadcast on the TV screens displayed at all Walton Plaza across the country.
Walton Plaza Managing Director Mohammad Rayhan and Zero Missing Foundation President Sadat Rahman, the founding organisation of MUN Alert, signed the agreement on behalf of their organisations.
Rayhan said the initiative would help spread missing-person information quickly and widely among the public. He added that people could report missing persons or follow up on existing cases through MUN Alert’s helpline 13219 and web portal.
Walton Chief Marketing Officer Zoheb Ahmed said using the company’s nationwide network and TV screens for the initiative was part of its social responsibility.
MUN Alert founder Sadat Rahman said Walton’s extensive network would help take verified missing-person information to areas that would otherwise be difficult to reach.
