PM orders reserved-seat MP Mishti to resign

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has directed BNP lawmaker Ferdousi Ahmed Mishti to resign from her seat in parliament, according to the party sources.

Mishti is a BNP member of parliament representing a reserved seat for women.

The source said Mishti had been instructed to resign from parliament by Sunday.

Mishti could not be reached for comment despite attempts to contact her.
