Major (retd) Akhteruzzaman on remand

A Dhaka court on Saturday granted one-day remand for Jamaat-e-Islami leader and former army major (retd) Akhteruzzaman in a case filed with Airport Police Station.

Police produced him before the court around noon and sought a five-day remand for questioning.

After hearing arguments from both sides, the court granted police one day of remand.
