Doraemon Castle of the Undersea Devil continued its strong run at the Indian box office, collecting an estimated Rs 2.60 crore on its second day.
The anime film saw only a 10 per cent drop from its opening day, taking its two-day total to Rs 5.50 crore.
With the film maintaining its momentum, it is now expected to finish its opening weekend with around Rs 8-9 crore in India.
The film opened with Rs 2.90 crore on Day 1. Its latest performance puts it on course to become the highest-grossing instalment in the *Doraemon* franchise in India.
The franchise has traditionally attracted a steady audience in the country, with earlier films generally earning around Rs 5 crore. The latest instalment, however, appears to be moving beyond that range within its opening weekend.
