Patwary assaulted in Kushtia

National Citizens Party (NCP) chief coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary was allegedly attacked and his vehicle vandalised at the Lalon Shah shrine in Chheuria of Kumarkhali, Kushtia, on Sunday evening.

NCP joint member secretary Tarek Reza alleged in a social media post that BNP activists attacked Patwary.

The incident reportedly occurred around 7:15pm, triggering tension on the shrine premises for some time.

Patwary left the shrine with the assistance of police and local party activists. NCP sources and some witnesses alleged that a person named Sangram, reportedly associated with the Kushtia municipal unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, led the attack and vandalism.
