Seventy-two trainee Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) have been transferred and posted to various districts, metropolitan police units and other law enforcement agencies.
The information was disclosed in a notification issued by the Personnel Management-1 branch of Police Headquarters on Sunday (October 4).
Inspector General of Police Md Ali Hossain Fakir signed the notification.
According to the notification, the officers, who have completed their practical training, have been posted as ASPs at different workplaces until further notice.
Among them, several officers have been posted as Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) in the Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, Gazipur, Rajshahi, Barishal, Sylhet and Rangpur metropolitan police units.
Others have been posted to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Armed Police Battalion (APBN), Special Branch (SB), Industrial Police, Tourist Police, Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI), Cyber Police Unit, Central Police Hospital and the offices of deputy inspector generals of different police ranges.
The notification said the officers will join their respective new workplaces after satisfactorily completing practical training in their own districts.
