Mahbubor Rahman elected chairman of SBAC Bank Investment

Mohammad Mahbubor Rahman, FCMA, has been elected chairman of SBAC Bank Investment Limited (SBIL), the investment banking arm of SBAC Bank PLC.

He was elected at the 30th meeting of the SBIL Board of Directors held on October 7, 2026.

Rahman is a representative director of SBAC Bank PLC, nominated by Intec Solution. He is a professional accountant and corporate executive with more than 27 years of experience in financial management and business leadership across Bangladesh, Malaysia, Vietnam, South Korea, Thailand and Cambodia.

He currently serves as CEO and director of finance at Intec Solution. During his career, he has held senior positions at global hospitality companies including Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Marriott International.

Rahman is a Fellow and Council Member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB). He holds a Master of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Dhaka.

His professional experience includes financial management, strategic planning, business leadership and organisational transformation.

SBIL said Rahman’s extensive experience is expected to contribute to the company’s strategic direction, corporate governance and capital market operations.
