The Inner Wheel Club of Arushi Dhaka, in collaboration with FAITH Bangladesh and Brighter Life School (BLS), honoured the school’s special educators on World Teachers’ Day 2026 in recognition of their dedication to children with special needs.
The programme was attended by Shirin Aktar Chowdhury, Chairman of Inner Wheel District 345, as Chief Guest, and Professor Dr Shaila Sultana, Director of BRAC Institute of Languages, BRAC University, as Special Guest. Nazma Masud (Parul), President of the Inner Wheel Club of Arushi Dhaka, chaired the event.
Nilufer Ahmed Karim, Executive Director (Honorary) of FAITH Bangladesh, highlighted the vital role of special educators in supporting children with autism, intellectual disabilities and developmental delays.
The programme featured a video presentation on Brighter Life School’s achievements and a recognition ceremony for its dedicated teachers. Handcrafted gifts, including painted clay pots with plants prepared by the school’s students, were presented to teachers and guests.
Speakers stressed the importance of inclusive education and greater support for special educators in empowering children and their families.
