Jannatul Biswas, Narail: Zobayer Molla (14), a school student, was killed after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing into a roadside tree in Lohagara, Narail.
A friend named Azizur sustained minor injuries in the incident. The accident occurred on Saturday morning in the Brahman-danga area along the Naldi-Lohagara regional road within Noyagram Union.
The deceased, Zobayer Molla, was the son of Hafijur Molla from Char-Brahman-danga village in Noyagram Union. He was a ninth-grade student at Naldi Sammilani Secondary School. The injured youth, Azizur, is the son of Ajmul from the same village.
According to locals and relatives, Zobayer set out for Naldi Bazar on Saturday morning after borrowing a motorcycle from his friend Rizvi, the son of Azgar from Handla village. While returning after travelling some distance, the motorcycle went out of control and struck a roadside tree at a bend near the eastern side of Brahman-danga Government Primary School. Zobayer sustained critical injuries, while Azizur, who was riding in the back seat, was also injured. Zobayer was subsequently rushed to Narail District Hospital in critical condition, where the doctor on duty in the emergency department declared him dead.
Shariful Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Lohagara Police Station, stated that the body would be handed over to the relatives after the completion of legal formalities.
