At least 109 migrants, including 15 children, have died after a boat carrying around 350 people capsized off the coast of Djibouti while travelling towards Yemen, with at least 116 others still missing.
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) said on Sunday that the boat sank sometime during the night of October 8-9 near Godoria, north of the port city of Obock in Djibouti.
The information came from survivors rescued after the incident. Rescue efforts and efforts to account for the missing passengers remain critical as the death toll has reached at least 109.
