Woman found dead at Fakirhat

FAKIRHAT, BAGERHAT, Oct 14: Police recovered the hanging body of a 23-year-old mother of three from Bailtali Village in Fakirhat Upazila of the district on Wednesday afternoon.

The victim, Kohinoor Begum, was found hanging from a ceiling beam with a scarf around her neck. Family members reported that she died by suicide following a domestic dispute with her second husband, Rahat Hasan, who was absent at the time of the incident. 

Fakirhat Model Police Station (PS) Sub-Inspector Ohidul Rahman said police primarily believe she died overnight.

Officer-in-Charge of the PS Rajiullah Khan said the body has been sent to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy. Authorities stated that the exact cause of death will be confirmed following the autopsy report, and legal proceedings are underway.
