Eight bags containing belongings of Rajshahi Division cricketers went missing while being transported from Dhaka to Rajshahi ahead of the National Cricket League (NCL), prompting the players to lodge a complaint with police.
The bags were carried in a mini covered van that left for Rajshahi a day before the cricketers travelled by air after completing their second-round match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. The luggage reportedly contained important items, including passports and mobile phones.
Following the incident, the Bangladesh Cricket Board's security department also began looking into the matter.
A Rajshahi Division cricketer told Dhaka Post that several bags had been recovered on Thursday, expressing hope that the remaining luggage would also be found.
