A total of 135 flights from Dhaka operated by various airlines have been disrupted due to operational restrictions at Saudi Arabian airports following reported Houthi attacks, affecting 20,672 passengers, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB).
Of the disrupted flights, 62 were direct services, while 73 were transit flights, the CAAB said in a press release on Thursday (October 22).
The disruption reportedly began after a missile attack on Riyadh Airport by the Houthis on October 10. The supplied report also claimed that at least 12 people, including two Bangladeshis, were killed and more than 300 injured in the incident.
However, the reported attack and casualty figures require independent verification before publication.
