Mohammad Naim Sheikh and Mahfizul Islam Robin struck double centuries to dominate the fourth round of the National Cricket League (NCL), producing outstanding individual performances for Dhaka and Mymensingh respectively.

Naim made a career-best 282 against Rajshahi Division at the Rajshahi Divisional Stadium, while Mahfizul remained unbeaten on 217 against Chattogram Division at Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogura.

Naim built on his overnight unbeaten 171 to take his innings beyond the double-century mark. His marathon knock featured 21 fours and seven sixes, putting Dhaka in a commanding position after the side had recovered from an early collapse on the opening day.

Dhaka had slipped to 88 for three before Naim and captain Mahidul Islam Ankon steadied the innings with an unbroken fourth-wicket partnership on the first day. Naim's latest effort extended his prolific run in the competition, following centuries in the previous rounds.

At Bogura, Mahfizul also converted his overnight century into a double hundred, continuing his impressive form in the ongoing season. He resumed on 156 not out and carried his bat through to an unbeaten 217, striking 20 fours and two sixes.

Mymensingh declared their first innings at 465 for seven, building a substantial total against Chattogram. Mahfizul's innings followed another strong run in the competition and reinforced his growing reputation as one of the season's most consistent performers.

Both batters had entered the fourth round in fine touch, having already scored multiple centuries in the tournament. Their latest performances underlined the depth of batting form on display in the domestic four-day competition.

Naim's 282 and Mahfizul's unbeaten 217 stood out as the major individual achievements of the round, with both openers turning promising first-day starts into commanding double-century innings.
