TEHRAN, Oct 27: Iran’s top security chief, Mohsen Rezaei, has said the US has failed to bring security to any country in the region.
“Washington’s inability to provide security guarantees has become evident,” Rezaei, the secretary of Iran’s National Security Council, said in a post on X on Tuesday.
“Security in West Asia must originate from within the region itself, and any foreign intervention must be prevented.”
Trump also defended the economic consequences of the military campaign, saying he had expected oil prices to rise much higher.
