Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr Shafiqur Rahman warned the government on Saturday (October 31) night that it will be crushed under a single-point movement if it fails to accept the 11-party alliance's seven-point demand.
Addressing a roadside rally at the Chuadanga bus stand in Jhenaidah town during the alliance's long march program, Dr Shafiqur asserted that parliamentary elections cannot be deemed valid if a referendum is considered illegal.
The Jamaat chief emphasized that the 11-party coalition will not permit double standards or betrayal against the nation, cautioning that the administration will eventually be forced to concede to their demands.
Central leaders of the 11-party alliance also addressed the gathering during the Jhenaidah leg of the long march.
