HC grants bail to Major (retd) Akhtaruzzaman

The High Court on Sunday granted bail to Jamaat-e-Islami leader and former lawmaker Major (retd) Akhtaruzzaman in a case filed over allegedly obstructing government duties and behaving improperly with officials at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

An HC bench led by Justice KM Zahid Sarwar passed the order.

Senior lawyer Mohammad Shishir Monir represented Akhtaruzzaman during the bail hearing.
