Family Card survey begins at Bhaluka

BHALUKA, MYMENSINGH, Nov 5:  The data collection process for the Family Card Household Survey-2026 has begun in Bhaluka Upazila of Mymensingh.

The survey was inaugurated on Thursday afternoon in Ward No 1 of Rajoi Union and at Para Gaon in Habirbari Union.
Local lawmaker Fakhr Uddin Ahmed Bachchu inaugurated the programme as the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, he said the Family Card was an important public welfare initiative of the government, aimed at identifying genuine beneficiary families and bringing them under social safety net programmes.

He also said social awareness committees comprising people from different professions and stakeholders would be formed in every union and ward of the upazila.

The committees would monitor the overall social situation, identify social problems and work to resolve them, he added, saying the initiative aimed to build a more aware, safe and developed society.

The programme was chaired by Upazila Social Services Officer Md Ruman Hasan.

Among others, Upazila BNP Senior Joint Convener Ruhul Amin Masud, former principal Amir Hossain, former Rajoi Union Parishad chairman Anwar Uddin and former acting general secretary of Habirbari Union BNP Aminul Islam Khan Bhasan spoke at the event.

Later, data collection devices were distributed among 28 enumerators.
