Bus catches fire beneath metro station

A Bihanga Paribahan bus caught fire beneath Pallabi metro rail station in Mirpur, Dhaka, on Saturday night, but the driver and helper managed to extinguish the blaze before police arrived, with no casualties reported.
The incident occurred around 10:15PM on November 7. Pallabi Police Station duty officer Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Rezwan confirmed the incident, saying police were informed about the fire and immediately sent a team to the scene.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jalal Uddin said the driver and helper brought the fire under control before police reached the spot.
The identities of those responsible for setting the bus on fire and the motive behind the incident were not immediately known.
