Young singer, lyricist, and composer Parsha Mahjabeen has surprised fans by announcing her marriage, revealing that her akd ceremony took place abroad on October 26.
While sharing pictures of the ceremony on social media where the groom's face is concealed with flowers, the artist has chosen to keep her husband's identity confidential for now. Parsha humorously requested fans and media not to embarrass her or her family by trying to uncover his identity.
In a recent interview, Parsha explained that visa complications prevented her family members from attending the overseas ceremony, though the groom's relatives were present. The couple plans to complete the remaining wedding formalities with family members, relatives, and friends within the next six months. The two met approximately a year ago while traveling abroad, and after developing a relationship, their families willingly approved the union.
Explaining her decision to hide the groom's face, Parsha stated she wanted to challenge conventional social perspectives surrounding privacy and veiling. She noted that while veiling a woman's face is often treated as normal, society reacts differently when the convention is reversed, adding that personal choices regarding autonomy and freedom should remain under individual control.
Reflecting on her expectations for a life partner, Parsha emphasized the importance of emotional security, sensitivity toward nature and animals, and a shared appreciation for philosophy, science, art, and literature. "I never looked for a man who would crown me, but rather someone who would never ask me to take that crown off," she remarked regarding her independence.
Parsha first rose to prominence during the quota reform movement with her song "Cholo Bhule Jai". Alongside her musical career, the Gen-Z artist has also ventured into acting.
