Emerging actress Afelin Jahan feels proud when people compare her with popular television actress Sadia Jahan Prova. However, she has made it clear that she does not want to become like Prova, saying no artist can be an exact replacement for another and everyone has their own identity and place.
Afelin made the remarks in a recent interview while discussing her acting career, co-stars and professional experiences.
Speaking about Prova, Afelin said no one could replace another artist exactly. Even when someone fills a void left by another, each artist maintains a distinct identity and position. She said becoming like Prova was not possible, nor did she aspire to do so. However, she felt proud of being compared with the established actress and wanted to continue delivering quality work to audiences.
Recalling her early acting experiences, Afelin said she initially felt nervous and hesitant. However, she received considerable support from her co-stars, who helped her with everything from learning dialogues to various aspects of acting. She believes acting is essentially a collaborative effort.
Afelin also revealed that she had previously received an offer to act in a film but could not accept it due to her academic commitments. Although she had signed an agreement to work in the film, the project eventually did not materialise for her. Later, unable to stay away from acting, she decided to work regularly in television dramas.
Before becoming a regular face in television dramas, she had an opportunity to work with actor Emon through Raju Ahmed. She said the experience also helped her during the early stages of her acting career.
Currently, Afelin Jahan is balancing her studies with acting in various single-episode and television serial dramas. She aims to establish a distinct identity among audiences through her acting skills and performances.
